Kassandra and Alexios switched sides in the narrative depending on who you played as, meaning that regardless of which one you played as, the experience was pretty much the safe as they didn’t have unique stories which IMO kinda makes it so that none of them is a proper main character no matter which is the canon one.
Here's the other important thing: unlike, say, when you choose a horse in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or pick a character to romance, once you've made the choice between Kassandra and Alexios, that Kassandra Vs Alexios. Having played just a portion of the game with each character I cannot answer that question definitively. What I can say is that I vastly prefer Kassandra (played by

Template:Short description Alexios (Template:Lang-el) and Kassandra (Template:Lang-el) are two interconnected fictional characters in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed video game franchise, first appearing as the player characters of the 2018 video game Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Alexios and Kassandra are portrayed through performance capture by Michael Antonakos and Melissanthi Mahut respectively Round 2: Shield Battle, who is better with the shield Bayek has his Medjay shield, Alexios/Kassandra has a Spartan Shield, and Eivor has a Viking Shield. Round 3: Main Weapon battle, Khopesh to Bayek, Spatha to Alexios/Kassandra, and short Axe for Eivor. Round 4: Bow Battle, they each have a bow and 10 arrows. Round 5: Battle of the Birds, they So yeah by the end of Oddessy Cassnadra.Alexios must have, for the era, been getting quite old, if we assume Demios was 15 (historical dramas making people look older is something thats done, consider GOT,) and Kassandra/Alexos was a "willfulo 6 year old" at the time, that sets a MINIMUM age for them at the start of the game at 20 (and mid 20s Kassandra had far more charm as a protagonist, and a considerably better voice actress. I prefer Kassandra specifically because Alexios is a great deimos, otherwise I like both and don't care which is which. Alexios definitely has more of that “raised by wolves” vibe which fits Deimos’ character very well. Kassandra is canon and her voice actor does better work than Alexios. Her being canon is only for the books and a useless PR action by Ubisoft. This is a game series. Books mean notjing to it. You choose who is canon. Alexios is miles better than man with boobs Kassandra. Kassandra is buff but no different from the girls you see in CrossFit or MMA.
But as I'm 75% through Origins, and since Odyssey is next I wanted to know which one is ultimately better. I saw the Eurogamer comparison video, and Kassandra seemed better at subtlety but worse at intense emotions, and vice versa for Alexios. Some of Alexios's lines sounded too overdone, and some of Kassandra's sounded way too bland/reserved.
'Right now it's two-thirds Alexios and one-third Kassandra' We're far removed from the whole "Assassin's Creed is bad" mantra.Origins rocked it then Assassin's Creed Odyssey rekindled that fire; and with the series taking a year off in 2019, it looks like Ubisoft isn't ready to ruin all of that goodwill just yet. Your analysis of Alexios’ character is correct, but it’s the exact same as Kassandra’s if she’s the main character. There’s no difference in their “humble character from the west who wants to be with their family” it’s the exact same. The only difference is that one is a woman and the other is a man.
A bit of narrative differences towards the end forcing the best ending on the Alexios route (or even forking it so Deimos can only be saved playing Alexios, which would deepen characterization of both characters and add replay to experience both endings), making Legacy an Alexios DLC and Atlantis a Kass DLC and you could still have Kass be the

Kassandra (Greek: Κασσανδρα) is the main protagonist of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. She was a Spartan mercenary who fought during the Peloponnesian War. She was the older half-sister of Alexios and, through their mother, Myrrine, the granddaughter of King Leonidas of Sparta. While raised by her mother's husband, Nikolaos, she was later revealed to be the biological daughter of
