I currently have two 8GB sticks of RAM in my computer, they are Viper 4s from Patriot, I am looking at getting a total of 64GB of RAM, but at the current price I can't afford it, I would like to know if having two 16GB sticks Dell agents can only support what is listed in the online Inspiron 7706 2-in-1 Setup and Specifications PDF, page 13. Dell agents cannot support or troubleshoot the addition of non-tested 3rd party memory nor can they support or troubleshoot going above 16GB. Powercat777. 0. It may take DDR1333 RAM but be hard limited to 16GB or 32 or 64 or some other seemingly arbitrary number. So make sure you check with the mobo specs to make sure that 32GB of RAM you buy can first pull its dimm to see if it will boot without it and has ram on the mobo. if it only has the 4g dimm and none on the mobo, then get a 16g ddr4 so-dimm for 16g of ram. if it has 4g on the mobo you should be able to add a 16g ddr4 sd-dimm (for 20g total) or add an 8g ddr4 so-dimm (for 12g total) Yes, it has 4 GB on mobo. So if i add a 16GB

MHz RAM (2 x 16 GB) ADDITIONAL CONFIG PROCCESSOR: Intel® Core™ i7-12700H (2.30 GHz base frequency, up to 4.7 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 24 MB L3 cache, 14 cores, 20 threads)

Nearly all RAM should be installed in pairs. The total value of each module should be within the limits of your motherboard. For example, if you are installing 16 GB of RAM, you'll need to install either two 8 GB modules or four 4 GB modules. If your motherboard has an 16 GB limit, it likely won't support a single 16 GB memory module.
Report abuse. Look at Task Manager again and Memory. When you place your mouse pointer over an area, see what it shows. See example image below. Click on, tap, or activate image to enlarge it. You may want to run a Memory check too. Using the search icon, type memory in the box. See example image below. Click on Run as administrator.
If you can get 16GB, it's going to be a good thing going forward, but not likely to be critical. The only way to really tell is to watch the RAM and pagefile usage while you play. If the RAM stays under 90% at all times, you don't need more. Dual channel might still help if the stuttering is caused by a CPU bottleneck. The RAM slots will immediately be visible off to the right side of the motherboard, assuming the fans are in the top left corner. You should have a free slot, which you can use to add more RAM. Of the 4 slots they are currently empty-8gb-empty-8gb so if installed them it would be 16gb-8gb-16gb-8gb. Would that work ok? Sort by: •. I believe it will work, but remember they will all run at the speed of the slowest stick. •. Yes, 8-16-8-16 will work fine. I used to stack 2-4-2-4 to get 12 GB dual-channel.
I'd recommend a single 16GB stick and then adding another 16GB; you don't wanto to populate all 4 RAM slots with ryzen. M.S.C.E. (M.Sc. Computer Engineering), Senior IT advisor in a hospital, 30 years of gaming, 20 years of computer enthusiasm, Geek, Trekkie, anime fan
The Laptop has 2 Slots to install memory, already with 4GB standard memory installed. For best Inspiron 15 3000 (DDR4) Laptop performance use the maximum amount of 16GB, fill all the slots with the max allowed memory per slot for your Laptop. What is the warranty on these memory?
Remove all drive trays. Remove the 6 outer screws as shown below and slide off the case. You’ll notice right away the empty memory slot Synology provides, insert one of the 8GB memory sticks from the Crucial 16GB RAM Kit. Now look inside where the drive trays go. You’ll see the factory memory stick. Carefully reach in the hole and remove
Once I opened it I found out the extra slot had a removable 4GB, so that means the soldered RAM is 4gb also. That leaves me with the only option to add to that 4gb, or leave it with identical duals total 8gb. Well I already upgraded it adding 16 GB for total 20GB. The soldered 4gb RAM is at 2400mhz, while the one I added is 16GB 3200mhz. 6dRL.
