The built in X1 app “HBO Max” app won’t load. It stays on the purple logo screen. This only occurs on the “Media Room” cable box. It runs fine in the “Family Room” cable box. 

The Sony TV is Not Compatible. HBO Max may not be available on your Sony TV. HBO Max requires TVs to be operating Android OS 5 or later. This means that those that were manufactured before 2015 are not compatible with HBO Max. If your TV is a newer Sony TV, you might just need to update the firmware to run OS 5 or later.

HBOMax won’t load. March 24. Every time I load a HBO Max it immediately crashes. Is this a tvOS issue or HBO Max app issue?. TIA. I’ve always had to do this occasionally with the Nest app too. Try hard resetting your tv. Press and HOLD the power button on the tv or remote till it turns off and back on again. Just keep holding it and it'll restart. I have a Samsung Q9 and this is the fix for everything, if it's the tv.
Claims apple tv is being used in the attack against an IP address usually on limelight networks, seems to be a cdn from my research. Makes no sense. I have wiped my apple tv clean, installed only a few apps, hbo max being one of them. Even after a fresh reset, I have gotten one or two more alerts. Live sports like Premier League.
